Steep slope leading to the Castle. 20 Degree slope?? The building on the left was once the Jew's Court. This historic building is now the home of the Society forLincolnshire History and Archaeology. It is adjacent to Jew’s
House which dates from around 1158.

The messenger?? The building is the Guild Hall. It is the “officialhome” of the Mayor and houses the Civic
Insignia Room in the old debtor's prison.
The present building was completed in
1520.
